Ruth Cuthbertson BA (Hons) Dip Mus

Ruth is an experienced music teacher and performer in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. She has passed piano, string, woodwind, brass and percussion examinations at various levels. She has also studied Music Theory, passing exams and receiving awards in this subject.

Ruth teaches instruments which include piano, harp, classical violin and viola, traditional fiddle and percussion, and she has experience teaching students with special needs. She also teaches all levels of Theory of Music. Ruth has taught at various venues throughout the province, where her pupils have achieved a high pass rate with all examination boards. She is now increasing her teaching time nearer to home.

Jim Cuthbertson BA  ATCL

Jim is a professional drummer with extensive experience in recording studios and live performances. He has a busy working schedule and is available for work at hourly or daily rates. 

Jim has played drum kit for over 30 years and is comfortable with a range of styles including folk music, dance band, full concert band, rock and pop. He is also a member of an orchestra where he plays classical percussion.

Although Jim is a busy performer he does find time to teach percussion, with most of his private pupils taking rock examinations on the drum-kit, and some also taking classical percussion examinations.
